Five strategic innovations for Swissbau 2026:

  • New specialist exhibition areas and collaborations, e.g. with the SMGV
  • Lively meeting point for the skilled trades in Hall 1.0

  • Brand-new knowledge and new impulses in the Swissbau Focus in Hall 1.0

Swissbau platforms

The multi-industry trade fair convinces with several platforms that stage networking, knowledge transfer and innovative product novelties.

Swissbau Focus and Lab

The two collaboration platforms Swissbau Focus and Swissbau Lab facilitate interdisciplinary dialog and form a unique network of experts and opinion leaders. All relevant stakeholders in the construction and real estate industry are involved and face up to the current challenges. "Shaping change together" is the motto for 2026, because solutions can only be found, discussed and tried out together.

The four key topics of climate and energy, circular economy and materials, collaboration and processes, and society and living space in transition are the focus of both collaboration platforms. This brings Swissbau Lab and Swissbau Focus closer together in terms of content. SIA, the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects, and Bauen digital Schweiz / buildingSMART Switzerland are involved in both platforms as leading partners.

Swissbau Inside

The staging in the interior design area offers a high-quality stage for suppliers of design products in Hall 2.1 around the themes of interiors, lighting and furniture.

Hall 2.1 with its kitchen, floor/wall/ceiling, lighting, office and contract furnishing sections will have a new highlight: Swissbau Inside is the name of the high-quality stage for design products. Everything that distinguishes interior construction and interior design can be found here. Clearly arranged and uniformly presented, the focus is on the respective products and materials. Whether for public, semi-public or even private interiors, for areas of activity such as offices, retail or private homes - professional planners will find what gives the interior its character. The concept of Swissbau Inside was developed by Bureau Hindermann and impresses with its high-quality, uniform staging, as well as with the all-in packages offered to interested producers. According to the motto: well thought-out planning and implementation from a single source, exhibitors only provide products and the personnel and do not have to worry about anything else but the personal advice on site. Logo, image images and product placement in an appealing manner prepares the organizer. With an independent design, complementary to the Trend World Bathroom, which has already been successfully held since 2010.

Concept Swissbau Inside

Scaffolding clad in net vinyl divides the approximately 50 presentation areas of 20m2 each into an independent, space-creating overall structure. This structure creates a new identity for the interior design area and is supplemented with elements such as gastronomy, co-working zones, forum and possibly store. In this way, Swissbau Inside will provide Swissbau with a new platform for everything to do with interior construction and interior design, which sees itself not only as a platform for products, but also aims to promote the active exchange of professional experts in this field. On the one hand, trade associations and institutions are represented on site. On the other hand, the Inside Forum offers the opportunity to participate in current interior topics by means of expert lectures, panel discussions and workshops.

Trend world bathroom & kitchen

The popular Trend World Bathroom concept is being expanded. For a better overall experience, we are changing the hall and using the synergies of bathroom/sanitary, kitchen, floor/wall/ceiling, interior design and living concepts.

The trend world bathroom inspires as a high-quality staging of the latest trends and designs for the bathroom of tomorrow. Laufen and other leading brands present the latest products and solutions to visitors.

Around one hour a day is spent in the bathroom. Projected over a year, that makes about two weeks. Not surprisingly, our expectations of the bathroom are high: The bathroom has long since ceased to be a functional space, but rather a place for comfort and design, in which well-being, aesthetics and body care take center stage.

New concepts, trends and decorative elements are turning the bathroom into an oasis of well-being for discerning tastes. Expectations have long since exceeded the classic basic fittings of toilet, washbasin, shower and bathtub. Individual design options are in demand. The trend towards modern design and atmospheric homeliness can be initiated with skilfully placed accents such as dimmable lights, vintage-look fittings or free-standing bathtubs and natural materials. Authentic materials provide haptic sensuality. Clear architecture, reduced design, visual generosity and freedom of movement underline the harmonious bathroom design.

Combining bathroom & kitchen

  • Re-launching the theme of interior design on one level in Hall 1.2. Thanks to a high-quality ambience within a new placement concept, the synergies between the areas of bathroom, kitchen, floor/wall/ceiling, contract furnishings and lighting can be optimally utilized. A hall filled with design and inspiration.

New hall

  • Realization of a high-quality ambience with a new placement concept on one level for the entire interior design theme.

Modern infrastructure

  • Fewer pillars, no daylight or hall lighting and dark-colored infrastructure for the best stand and product presentation. More flexibility for individualized, high-quality stand construction.
